With the Release of the 4.2 engine many other modification came along. Hence a new owners manual was needed and the first of 5 original over the years between 1964 and 1967 was number E131/1 and was given to all 4.2 cars from August 64 to January 65.
Hereafter is only one example of a very small note which changed within the 4.2 owner manual sequence. It is a minor note but might be important to know what is correct for your car. Do NOT expect the control lamp to be be on when your alternator is not charging. Later E Type do have this function and might be important to know.

Owners manual set 131/3
Next in row is the edition 131/3 starting from March 1966 to November 66. Keep in mind that the first 2+2 was introduced in March 1966. Hence there was supplement added to the set for 2+2 owners.

The 131/4 was very short lived. Only distributetd from December 66 to February 67. It was the period where the US introduced plenty of restrictions for cars being delivered to US. We remember the Open headlight were introduced in US from January 67 where in Europe they continued until July 67. Another main issue was the exhaust return pipe and reduction of two carburetor in US where the rest of world continued with 3 Carbs until July 1968.
