Here are some information about the original Jaguar E Type key fobs
I did have some time and sorted my key fobs and wanted to share my knowledge as I found some confusing comments on other websites. Here are just a few pics, more info here.
Very early 1st. generation had the cVd imprint. 
Clear indication of which key fob shall be uses for 61 and early 62 E Types 
Front side of below original key fobs 
cVd = 61/62, CVD = 62/65, CUD = 65/68
