XK 140 / 150 tools roll compared with very early E Type roll

Basic differences between  XK 140/150 and E Type tool roll.

Evident at the first glance are that the Xk roll has more box spanners, but also the rest carries some important differences. XK has the older Lockheed and E Type already the new DUNLOP brake bleeder tin.

The Xk has a GARRINGTON adjustable, a feeler gauge with blades on both sides, and a brake bleeder tool.

The early E Type has a new type of feeler gauge and now the adjustable has a different handle. It is now called GARRINGTONS with “s”. New is the the brake adjusting Allen key

Original XK feeler gauge, very important detail is the larger font for the 006 blade, Probably to help not to confuse with the 008. Other non Jaguar types exist with same font size for all digits.

SSP pliers
Little but important, Both pliers are from the same producer SSP, but the earlier model for XK had the writing in the center where the later E Type had it around.

AF Box spanners, here we have the set of the E Type lines up with the sex of the XK. Albeit the sizes are the same, the smallest babe of the XK is only 5 inch long, where all other box spanners are 6″ long

The open ended spanners can be the same for both, XK and E Type. Used brands were T/w and GARRINGTON. They could also be mixed in a tool roll. The screw driver has a fixed straight blade and is the same for both as well as the large tommy bar.
